We are so glad Mari is doing well. We recently gave her Quingo Air a service and new batteries.. it continues to give great service!
She recently sent us this update.
I hope you have all been enjoying the sunny weather that we have had recently and that you have had a chance to enjoy your ponies/horses.
This month hasn’t been too busy thankfully, but I have been following the Para Dressage Team who were in Rio at the 2016 Paralympics. I am delighted to say team GBR won team gold again and between the riders six gold medals and 4 silvers were won. It was a shame we couldn’t watch them on TV as there was so little TV footage, apart from a few 5 minute clips.
I had some hard training sessions this month focusing on the BD Nationals with Sky and another Para Qualifier with Mr Bear. We have really been working hard on the contact with Bear and with Sky having him really coming through from behind into an up contact.
The BD Nationals went really well and we came back with 2nd place, not bad for only our second Championship at 1a and our first Championship as a 1a at the BD Nationals. Full report; see separate blog titled BD Nationals 2016.
The last competition of the month wasn’t our best performance to date sadly, Bear and I won the team test and overall got two decent scores, not bad for our 4th attempt at this level; so much more still to come and the future is looking bright.
I am delighted to say that I have qualified both Bear and Sky for the Open Winter Para Dressage Championships next year in March.
Wow this month has gone fast, the next few months will entail some intense training so that next time we go out both boys will be gaining consistently higher scores.
I couldn’t have done all that I have over the last few months without my fantastic support team and super team of sponsors and supporters. Both boys are going and feeling better than ever and are both fed on the supplement PharmaQuin.
